APPA - Leadership in Educational Facilities
Formerly Association of Superintendents of Buildings and Grounds, and later became the Association of Physical Plant Administrators of Universities and Colleges. In 1991, the name APPA: The Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers was adopted to reflect increased higher education-based campus responsibilities. APPA works to support educational excellence with quality leadership and professional management through education, research, and recognition. Members are accredited non-profit institutions of higher education with an independent facilities department, and university or college systems offices which supervise the physical plants of two or more campuses. Membership: $1,575-$6,500 (Business Partner); $750 (Affiliate/International/Higher Education System Office/Library/Museum); $50 (Retired); $475-$2,260 (Institutional); $400 (Additional Associate member); $600 (K-12); Free (Student).
