American Feed Industry Association
Formerly (1985) American Feed Manufacturers Association, absorbed Midwest Feed Manufacturers Association in 1975, National Feed Ingredients Association in 1992, and American Alfalfa Processors Association in 2001. AFIA works to represent the business, legislative and regulatory interests of the U.S. animal feed industry and its suppliers. Members are firms which manufacture formula feed and pet food to sell, firms which manufacture formula feed only for their own poultry or livestock, and firms which provide ingredients, services, equipment, and supplies to feed manufacturers.
