Initially the Volkswagen American Dealers Association changed its name to the American Imported Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) in 1972 and assumed its present name in 1980. AIADA is dedicated to the economic and political interests of America's international nameplate automobile dealers and represents 500,000 employees who sell and service world- class automobiles.
