Association for Accessible Medicines
GPhA was founded following the merger of three industry trade organizations: the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association, the National Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, and the National Pharmaceutical Alliance. Founded as the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry Association, absorbed the National Pharmaceutical Alliance and the National Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and assumed its current name in 2001. GPhA's core purpose is to improve the lives of consumers by providing timely access to affordable pharmaceuticals. Members are manufacturers and distributors of generic medicines, as well as the providers of technical services and goods to these firms. Membership: dues based on sales volume.
