Formerly Association of Fund-Raising Directors and then (1978) the National Society of Fund Raisers, assumed its current name in 2000. AFP empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research and advocacy. Members are individual fund raisers with experience in directing, managing or counseling fund raising programs. Membership: $95 (Young Professional); $280 (Professional/Associate); $75 (Retired) ;$35 (Collegiate membership); $50 (Global e-membership);$1,500-5,000 (AFP Business Membership); $2,200 (AFP’s Nonprofit Organizational Membership Large); $175 (AFP Nonprofit Organizational Membership - Small).
