International Municipal Signal Association
Formerly the International Association of Fire and Police Telegraph Superintendents. In 1900 the organization changed its name to the “International Association of Municipal Electricians” (I.A.M.E.) and In the 1920’s to New England Municipal Signal Association. In September 1937, the organization's name was officially changed to the “International Municipal Signal Association” (I.M.S.A.). IMSA is dedicated to providing quality certification programs for the safe installation, operation and maintenance of public safety systems. Members are government employees and municipal contractors involved in public safety operations. Membership: $100 (Active/Associate); $70-$90 (Public Agency); $35 (Student); $500-$1600 (Sustaining, + $75 USD each).
