American Highway Users Alliance
Formed as the Highway Users Federation for Safety and Mobility by the merger of three existing organizations: the National Highway Users Conference (1932), the Automotive Safety Foundation (1937) and the Auto Industries Highway Safety Committee (1947), assumed its current name in 1995. It is a nonprofit advocacy organization serving as the united voice of the transportation community promoting safe, uncongested highways and enhanced freedom of mobility. Membership: $500 (State & Local Advocate); $600 (Small Businesses/State/Regional Highway Users Coalition).
