International Hearing Society

Founded as Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, became National Hearing Aid Society in 1966 and assumed its current name in 1992. IHS's mission is to promote and maintain the possible standards for its members in the best interest of the hearing impaired it serves. IHS conducts programs in competency accreditation, education and training and encourages specialty-level certification for its members. Membership: $325 (Professional); $244 (Professional - Canada); $135 (Professional - International); $55 (Affiliate); $100 (Affiliate - Canada); $40 (Student).
