National Recreation and Parks Association
Formed by a merger of the American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (founded in 1924), the American Institute of Park Executives (formed in 1898), the American Recreation Society (formed in 1938), the National of State Parks (founded in 1921) and the National Recreation Association (founded in 1906). NRPA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of public parks, recreation and conservation. Its mission is to advance parks, recreation and environmental conservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all people. Membership: $700-6,050 (Premier, depending on number of fulltime employees); $470 (Standard); $35-180 (Individual); $180 (Industry Supplier Individual).
