Formerly known as the Massachusetts Branch, American Federation of Teachers, became the Massachusetts Federation of Teachers in 1960s, then adopted the name AFT Massachusetts in 2006. AFT's Massachusetts works for education reform, the preservation of the institutions and improves the working conditions of members who serve the public in schools, libraries, and hospitals.
