National Propane Gas Association

Founded as National Bottled Gas Association. 1937-Liquified Petroleum Gas Association (LPGA). 1964-merger with the National LP-Gas Council (an organization formed in 1949) to form National LP-Gas Association (NLPGA). Present name was adopted in 1988. NPGA's mission is to advance safety and to increase the use of propane through sound public policy. Members are producers and distributors of liquefied petroleum gas and propane and manufacturers of equipment for its use. Membership: $1,350-$18,500 (Associate, based on classes); $450 (International); $160 (Retired).
