Window and Door Manufacturers Association
Founded as the National Door Manufacturers Association, became the National Woodwork Manufacturers Association Inc. in 1949. In 1985 WDMA became the National Wood Window and Door Association, assumed its current name in 1998. Absorbed the Ponderosa Pine Woodwork Association in 1975. WDMA defines the standards of excellence in the residential and commercial window, door and skylight industry and advances these standards among industry members. Provides resources, education and professional programs designed to advance industry businesses and provides greater value for their customers. Members are makers of standard building products such as doors, windows, and frames.
